I may not be online much, if at all for the next 8 weeks or so. My dog is expecting pups and they are due some time this week. I will probably log on a few times to check how everything is going and I shall remain active on the forums, so if there are any problems relating to Academy then please post them here.

Just had a further think about this Gem.
Am I correct in thinking that Silver is still the Academy second-in-command and the only other person who can access the Society Terminal to carry out administration tasks (eg accepting or kicking members)?
Am I also correct in thinking that Silver isn't online much these days?
My concern is that the Academy could lose the opportunity to accept a potentially valuable new recruit or even not be able to kick someone who breaks our rules due to the unavailability of either yourself or Silver.
I know you're monitoring the Academy through the forums and that Jet can also advise you in case of an emergency or if a quick decision is necessary. But I was wondering how you felt about further back-up, just to be on the safe side?
What I'm thinking might be a good idea is to promote another Academy Member to joint Second-in-Command status. Someone who has a good reputation and is online a lot and could act if you or Silver weren't available.
I would suggest Manar as being a suitable person for this promotion and added responsibility. He works hard on skilling and I for one would trust him in this position of great responsibility.
However Gem I will leave this decision up to you. |

Sure, it is worth considering but I havent seen all that much of Manar either.
I have given Nox the task of trying to recruit some more members and as a result have given him the required rank for access to the terminal. I know that Nox is now a relatively new member of the soc but I saw his work while he was leading and know that he is more than capable, and has already found a new member, with Geek being the latest recruit. However, maybe it would be good to team up Nox and Manar. Nox is capable of finding members but Manar atm is imo more qualified to decide whether or not someone is right for our soc as he is more knowledgable of our current members and more up to speed with the current state of the Entropia Universe.
Thx for making the suggestion Kev and it is something that I am seriously considering. I will try and speak to both Nox and Manar as soon as I can and find the most suitable path to take.

I just feel i have to comment on this. I can assure you that i have been online just as much now as i have before. Because of the summerbreaks though i have had to modify my onlinetime somewhat . More during the day and less during then night. Also during July i did not hunt much but mainly socialized (outside the soc since i seldom saw anyone from the soc online then). Now things have changed back they way it was and i am again making life unsecure for any small critter that comes in my way.
Just incase you wondered. |

Just wondered though if you'd spoken more to Manar in-game about what I suggested, as he is saying that he is online a fair bit?
Maybe I've misread this Gem but the way it appeared reading Manar's post and then yours is that you were sort of dismissing what he said? |
